Tinubu planning to spend 10 years in office-Take it back movement Co-convener, Omoyele Sowore

Leader in the Monday protests championed by the Take It Back Movement, Omoyele Sowore has alleged of an undercover plan, allegedly being carried out by President Bola Tinubu in partnership with some National Assembly members to institute a parliamentary system of governance that would stand the sitting president to send a total of 10 years in office.

Sowore also said Monday protests, mark the beginning of many to come.

Speaking on National Television after the first day of protests, Swore said the movement is primarily to restore free speech in the country as well as other issues.

Sowore cited alleged attempt to silence young persons exercising free speech on social media as one of the reasons for the nationwide protests.

Sowore predicted the continuity of the protests under greater intensity, as according to him, Nigerians are tired of the socio-economic situation they are currently facing.

“You cannot have a country where people have nothing to eat, where there is unemployment on a larger scale, some of the worst situations in terms of employment, and you tell young people they can’t speak on tiktok, on Twitter.”
